Thin Loyalty

Hook: When did someone throw you “under the bus” to protect himself?

Book: Even though an unmistakable miracle had occurred in his life, the healed man found little support from either his family or the religious leaders. His parents feared being put out of the synagogue, while the leaders struggled to protect their positions. Again, the poor blind guy was labeled as a sinner from birth (verses 2 and 34). Where is the joy or gratitude over this healing? People even called Jesus’ good actions “bad” to protect themselves. What greater act must Jesus do to deserve loyalty?

Took: Why is loyalty often so thin? How would your loyalty encourage another person?
