Hook: What blinds people to the truth about others?

Book: Jesus used the eye as an illustration for filtering truth about Him. His opponents had biased perceptions that blocked their ability to see His true identity. Their dirty eyes squinted when exposed to His light. Bias comes in many forms. For these leaders it was a matter of pride and jealousy. They saw Jesus as a threat to their powerful positions before the people. If they had used spiritual eye drops, they could have enjoyed His person and teaching, which completely lights the soul.
